  1. Ms. Sullivan, I like your informative posts. As for the subject at hand, I have always found the singular lettuce serving fork a bit cumbersome. There are many patterns that have lettuce serving sets comprised of serving fork and spoon. As lettuce serving spoons tend to be rare, and ergo expensive, I have opted for pairs of matched lettuce serving forks. They are very nice when serving a bowl of dressed mesclun.

I have a Large fork (12 in. long, top/tines 4 in. wide) with a matching spoon. Other markings are English Silver MFG. Corp. Any information you can give me will be appreciated. Sorry I guess you need to know all the markings, I found this information by the markings F MRR S, the F is above the MRR and S below inside a symbol (?). Also an estimated value. Thank you

Hi Mary, the pieces you have sound like a salad serving set. English Silver MFG Corp. was a recent manufacturer in Brooklyn, NY, circa 1950-1990
